Our experienced teacher playworker will share with you clever ways to development as your child senses, awareness and brain development. Join us for sensory play, nature investigations, mud & water play, story time and bush songs.

The Nature. Be in it. Nature playgroup is a community of families, siblings, mums and dads. All are welcome and some days we find the adults get even more out of our time together than the children! To be together with likeminded peers and take a moment to connect is precious.

Yes, unlike our school holiday program for older children, nature playgroup is an experience to be shared with children and their caregivers.

We are a small business and our playgroup is facilitated by a busy mum, so it would really help if you purchased the whole term to reduce administration time and resourcing, plus you save money! Who doesn’t love that? You can choose to book and pay for casual sessions instead of registering for a full term. Keep in mind that places can book out so registering for a full term will guarantee your spot and saves you money!

In the event that a participant chooses to leave a series before the completion of the term program, no refunds, credits or transfers will be given unless arranged prior to the first session. What that means is, if you would like to try it out but it is not for you after 2-3 sessions we will refund the remainder of your term fees.

Have you heard the old saying, “There is no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothing?” Well, this is the philosophy we go by! We are an all-weather program, in fact we find the wet days make for the most fun and adventure.
We do make a temporary tarp shelter when needed, but given that Hobart is the second driest capital city in Australia, we find rarely need to cancel for rain. If it is predicted there will be severe rain, wind, or fire, we will cancel 24-48 hours in advance and offer a full refund or credit.

Being outside in the Tasmanian outdoors we always recommend bringing:
• Wet weather gear - rain jacket (essential), rain pants (if you have them)
• Sun hat and warm beanie
• Some extra warm layers just in case
• Spare change of clothes (mostly for the children, but if you’re an enthusiastic parent, you can bring a change for yourself too!)
